Eloi Scarva (PT, 1994) was born in Macao S.A.R, where he works and lives.
Spending his first days of life in a darkroom and being brought up on the road, he has previously worked in Brazil, Portugal and Belgium, currently maintaining a studio in Macao. He studied Sculpture, Installation and Multimedia at the Faculty of Fine-Arts in Lisbon and the University of São Paulo in Brazil.
In 2016 co-created the arts association “Republic of Arts of Coloane”, inaugurating the year with sculpture consultancy for the 5-year-long public art project “AnnoProject”. In 2017 opened the first photography oriented gallery “Casa do Povo” in Macao.
From 2018 to 2022 was able to work between the artistic department of The House of Dancing Water theatre and as an art consultant at the University of Macao, for the Review of Culture magazine, while also exhibiting regularly.
